SUBJECT: Electronic Posting for Fire Alarm Tests

Monthly fire alarms will no long be posted on the doors of buildings announcing these early morning testing. 

Beginning August 26th Facilities Coordinators and the Shutdown Group will receive these announcements electronically.  We recommend Facilities Coordinators to print the notice and/or forward the email to your distribution lists.

FMS encourages you to subscribe to the FMS Mailing List that cover the buildings or area that are important to you.  You can subscribe to the FMS list by:

1)            Going to the CMU web portal (http://my.cmu.edu)

2)            Click on the “Computing “ tab

3)            Select “Manage Email” from the list on the left side of the page

4)            Select “Mailing Lists”

5)            Select the “Browse Advertised Lists” hyperlink

6)            Scroll to the “fms-“ lists

7)            Find you building with the fms prefix.
