DATE is Sunday, November 24, Power shutdown is from 6:00 AM until 2:00 PM. Heating and chilled water systems will start shutting down at 5:00 AM.
Major Power Shutdown on 11/24 for Roberts Hall, Scaife Hall, Hamerschlag Hall, Purnell Center, Doherty Hall, Gates Hillman Center, FMS, Hamburg, Smith, and Newel-Simon Hall.
The extent of this shutdown will effect power, heat, and chilled water to these buildings. Remaining campus buildings’ chilled water will operate as normal through the Wean chiller plant.
MEETING for details, Warner Hall, Carnegie Conference Room West, 10:00 AM, Friday, November 22. Staff from Facilities Management Services and Campus Design and Facilities Development will attend to answer questions and concerns or e-mail kt2n@andrew.cmu.edu.
REMINDER- Occupants should shut off all non-essential equipment when leaving campus for the weekend.

CHANGE IN DETAILS- After the initial investigation the FMS Building, Hamburg Hall, Smith Hall and Newel-Simon Hall will be without power for the entire shutdown. Expect addition information on Wednesday.

SUBJECT: Scheduling Major Power Shutdown 11/24
Facilities Management Services, Campus Design and Facilities Development are planning a major power shutdown to repair the Scott Hall damage to the 4160V power distribution last week. An eight hour shutdown is needed for Roberts Hall, Scaife Hall, Hamerschlag Hall, Purnell Center, Doherty Hall, and Gates Hillman Center. There will be a 30 minute power transfer for the FMS Building, Hamburg Hall, Smith Hall and Newel-Simon Hall.
All shutdowns are planned to happen on Sunday, November 24 from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM. These repairs need to happen before winter weather settles in and work around CMU’s final examination schedule.
