SUBJECT: Scott Hall Night Work October 28, 2014
The Scott Hall night work on October 28, 2014
- To minimize the impact to the university a major placement of concrete (500 cubic yard or fifty truck loads) has been scheduled to begin at Midnight (12:01 AM) Wednesday October 28, 2014 and ending at 9:00 AM Wednesday morning October 28, 2014.
- The entrance to Hamerschlag Hall, Roberts Hall, Porter Hall and Scaife Hall from Frew Street will be very congested during these times. Access to and from and the parking in the handicap spaces will be maintained.
· This is the first of four major concrete placements for the Scott Hall cleanroom foundation system. Two concrete pump trucks are required for this work. One truck will be placed on Hamerschlag Drive adjacent to Roberts Hall and the second truck will be located in the courtyard adjacent to Wean Hall. We anticipate the pumping and placing of the 500 cubic yards of concrete will take approximately 9 hours with no unforeseen issues. Finishing crews will continue working until the afternoon.
- On Tuesday October 28, 2014 we will be placing a temporary 15CY dumpster as a clean out/ containment vessel adjacent to the nitrogen tank in front of the C level entrance to Hamerschlag Hall. It will be removed Wednesday October 28, 2014. Access into and out of Hamerschlag Hall C level will not be restricted nor will handicapped paring be impacted.
