SUBJECT: Warner Hall Crane Lift 9/17

AT&T Cellular will be accessing the roof of Warner Hall on Saturday, 9/17, to perform maintenance to their cellular antennas and install new battery back-up.  Their scope of work is as follows:

·         At approximately 6:00AM on Saturday, the contractor will be onsite to begin the setup and assembly of the crane.  This will take approximately 1 hour.

·         During assembly of the crane, contractors will need to access the roof of Warner Hall to begin disassembly of the existing back-up battery units.  They will access the roof via the interior stairwell.

·         Once the crane is assembled, they will begin to lift the existing battery packs from Warner Hall onto the ground.

·         Once all batteries are removed, they will begin lifting the new battery packs from a truck located on the Warner parking lot access drive to their final location on the roof.

·         Contractors will remain on the roof to clean up and secure all material on the roof.

·         The crane will be disassembled and all vehicles will be removed from the site.  This work is anticipated to be complete by 3:00PM on Saturday.

·         On the following Monday, 9/19, the contractor will complete the installation and testing of all battery packs on the roof.  The contractor will access the roof via the interior stair.  This work will not require loud pounding or hammering, and should not disrupt daily activities within Warner Hall.

For safety, the top two floors of the building, as well as the LL Corridor connecting Warner Hall and Cyert Hall will need to be empty during this lift. We will have campus Police onsite to assist with building access and safety during the lift.
