SUBJECT:  SEI and Mellon Institute Concrete WORK 10/17 – 11/15

Concrete sidewalk and curb repairs are currently scheduled to occur at Mellon Institute and SEI along Fifth Ave, South Dithridge St and South Bellefiled Ave from 10/17 – 11/15.

The large sidewalk section in front of Mellon Institute at Fifth Ave will be used as a staging area for the Contractor.  Equipment will be fenced off when not working on these sidewalks.

SCHEDULE:

10/17 – 10/21 SEI building-South Dithridge Street side, demolition will be completed by 10/19.  Concrete pours will follow.

10/24 – 10/28 Mellon Institute-South Bellefield Ave side and partial Fifth Ave side of building.

10/31 – 11/4     Mellon Institute Fifth Ave and South Dithridge sides as well as SEI-Fifth Ave side.

11/7 – 11/11     SEI Fifth-Ave side of building.

There may be some revisions to this schedule depending on the weather and work progress.

This work will involve lane closures and street parking restrictions along each street section being worked on.

–          Work at the Fifth Ave entrance of SEI will close this entrance which will only be open for emergency egress.

–          The Fifth Ave entrance of Mellon Institute will remain open however sections of stairs leading to the entrance will be blocked off during multiple stages of work.

–          There will be some work around the handicapped ramp at Mellon Institute on the South Bellefield Ave side of the building.  The work will be staged to always permit a pathway to the handicapped entrance to the building.
