SUBJECT:  Major Water Event Affecting Warner Hall & Cyert Hall

A component of the main water service piping to Warner Hall failed late yesterday afternoon.  Most of the A level of Warner Hall and A & B level of Cyert Hall had flooded before water could be shut off.  Campus-wide computing and communication services remained in service throughout this event.  However many spaces in both buildings were damaged and some may not be occupiable by Monday.  FMS crews and contractors continue to dry out spaces and evaluate damage.  Repairs have begun and will continue through the weekend.

Further updates will be sent out over the weekend.
