SUBJECT: Tepper Quad Project – Forbes Avenue Detour – 7/8

On Saturday, 7/8, at 6:00am there will be a Westbound Detour of Forbes Ave. between Morewood Avenue and South Craig Street due to an air handler crane lift at the Tepper Quad Project.  The detour will be in effect until 3:00pm, but the road may be reopened sooner if the lift goes well.

The following Detour will be in place.

1)      Traffic Travelling west on Forbes Ave.

a)      Right turn onto Morewood Ave

b)     Left turn onto Fifth Ave.

c)      Left turn onto S. Craig St.

d)     Back to Forbes Ave.

The detour will be clearly marked “Forbes Ave Detour” with Penn Dot approved signs.  On Fifth Ave and east of the intersection of Fifth Ave and Morewood, an advanced warning sign will be placed notifying all traffic traveling west on Fifth Ave that Forbes Ave will be closed to all traffic traveling inbound on Forbes Ave.

The Warner Hall Parking Lot will not be accessible from Westbound Forbes Avenue.  Follow detour route and enter the Warner Hall Parking Lot from Eastbound Forbes Avenue.

2)      Traffic Traveling east on Forbes Ave

a)      Will be shifted to the Right lane and continue out bound on Forbes Ave

Construction flaggers will be onsite for the entire closure to provide vehicle and pedestrian assistance.
