SUBJECT: ANSYS Building and Undergraduate Maker Center Update C Hamerschlag Drive Closure

Beginning 12/4 through 12/19, CDFD will be starting preparatory work for the ANSYS Simulation Building and Undergraduate Maker Center.

This work will include widening the existing sidewalk for accessibility from Scaife Hall to Hamerschlag Hall C-Level entrance, installing sound dampening at select windows, miscellaneous HVAC work in the Porter stair tower and providing temporary barriers adjacent to site within Hamerschlag Hall and Porter Hall. 

On 12/4, Porter C Hamerschlag parking will be closed. Parking and Transportation Services will be contacting the lease holders directly regarding relocation.  

Upper Hamerschlag Drive will close on 12/19 and will remain closed until August 2019.  To access lower Hamerschlag Drive, Gates & CIC parking garages and loading docks, enter via South Neville Street.  Please redirect truck deliveries to Roberts, Wean and Scott Hall loading docks.

The initial work consists of framing and pouring sidewalks, lifts will be used to install the window protection, and interior work will be taking place to install the temporary barriers. Through traffic of Hamerschlag Hall will intermittently be affected prior to closure on 12/19.
