SUBJECT: Cyert Hall Air Handling Unit Electrical Failure

Air handling unit #7 in Cyert Hall had an electrical failure over the weekend and is currently out of service.  Both the motor and frequency drive were damaged during this failure.

Air handler #7 serves the following spaces in Cyert Hall:

1st Floor rooms – 100, 100a, 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, 106, 108, 109, 111, 113, 115, 117, 120, 121, 122, 123, 124, 124a, 125, 127, 130, 132, 134

2nd Floor rooms – 208, 209, 210, 211, 212, 213, 214, 215, 227, 229, 277, 279

FMS is removing the damaged motor this morning and a new motor is expected to arrive by noon today.  Every effort will be made to restore operation of this air handler today.
