SUBJECT: West Wing Exterior Facade Project 6/3/19

West Wing Exterior Façade Restoration work will begin on Monday June 3, 2019.  This project is to repair the southern lower masonry band on the building, additional french drain work at the location as well as masonry and window joint sealant replacement on the exterior façade of the building.  The West masonry wall will also be restored during this project.  The majority of the joint sealant work will be performed via a lift from the sidewalk areas except for the Northwest corner of the building.  Scaffolding will be erected in this area due to limited access for the roof and sidewalk.  The Southern side of the building along the East/West Walkway will have excavation work starting on 6/3/19 for the lower band repairs and French drain work.  Joint sealant work will also begin on 6/3/19.  The West masonry wall work is currently scheduled to begin on or about 7/8/19.  Scaffold erection on the Northwest corner is currently scheduled to begin on or about 7/1/19.  Weather may affect the overall dates for this exterior work, which are considered approximate.  Work is expected to be completed the first week in August 2019.
