SUBJECT: Scaife Hall Project – Optical Table Move Tomorrow 10/19

Tomorrow, 10/19, starting at 8:00AM, CDFD will be moving two optical tables from the D Level of Scaife to Level 1 in Hamerschlag. 

Due to the size of the tables, a circuitous route is needed.  The tables will move across Scaife Hall Level 1 out of the exterior doors near the emergency generator.  From there, they will be lifted via a crane that will be parked in Hamerschlag Drive to the Maker Courtyard.  The tables will then utilize Hamerschlag Hall Level C Corridor, through the Scott Hall café area to the Scott Hall Elevator to Level 5.  The tables will then transit the Mall sidewalk to the Hamerschlag Hall exterior stairs.  Due to the weight of the tables, JV Rigging will need to set up rigging to navigate the stairs.  During this time, these stairs will be temporarily closed for safety.  Pedestrians should detour through Scott Hall to access Hamerschlag Hall during this time period.  Once up the stairs, the tables will travel the Level 1 corridor to their new home in room 1212.  See attached graphic for a visual of the route.
