UPDATE – Please see below for updated times to the power shutdowns scheduled for 6/8 and 6/9.  Please send an email to Shannon Wetzel at swetzel@andrew.cmu.edu if you have any concerns regarding the new times.  Responses are due no later than NOON TOMORROW, 6/4.

The first portion of the shutdown will begin at 3:00PM on Monday, 6/8, and will last until approximately 7:00PM.  The following locations will be affected during this portion of the shutdown:

–          Cohon University Center

–          Resnik/West Wing

–          East Campus Garage

The next portion of the shutdown will be also be on Monday, 6/8, lasting from approximately 7:00PM – 9:00PM and will affect the following locations:

–          Cohon University Center

–          Resnik/West Wing

–          East Campus Garage

–          CFA

–          Donner Hall

–          Hall of Arts

–          Hill Dorms

–          Hunt Library

–          Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall

–          Posner Hall

–          Posner Center

–          Skibo Gym

Finally, the last portion of the shutdown will start on Monday, 6/8, at 9:00PM and will last until 1:00AM on Tuesday, 6/9, affecting the following locations:

–          CFA

–          Donner Hall

–          Hall of Arts

–          Hill Dorms

–          Hunt Library

–          Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall

–          Posner Hall

–          Posner Center

–          Skibo Gym

UPDATE – Thank you to those who were able to call in to the power shutdown discussion meeting held on 5/26.  Considering the input received during this call, CDFD and FMCS determined a more definitive timeline for the power shutdown, which is scheduled for 6/8 and 6/9.  The shutdown will occur in three portions, listed below. 

The first portion of the shutdown will begin at 3:00PM on Monday, 6/8, and will last until approximately 1:00AM on Tuesday, 6/9 (10 hours).  The following locations will be affected during this portion of the shutdown:

–          Cohon University Center

–          Resnik/West Wing

–          East Campus Garage

The next portion of the shutdown will be on Tuesday, 6/9, lasting from approximately 1:00AM until 2:00AM (1 hour) and will affect the following locations:

–          Cohon University Center

–          Resnik/West Wing

–          East Campus Garage

–          CFA

–          Donner Hall

–          Hall of Arts

–          Hill Dorms

–          Hunt Library

–          Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall

–          Posner Hall

Finally, the last portion of the shutdown will be on Tuesday, 6/9, and will last from approximately 2:00AM until 12:00PM (10 hours) and will affect the following locations:

In order to support the Hall of Arts / Posner construction project, a power shutdown will need to occur that will affect the following locations:

We are tentatively scheduling that activity to begin on Monday, 6/1.  There will be a Zoom meeting on Tuesday, 5/26, at 11:30AM to discuss and coordinate the timing.  Information on how to join the Zoom meeting is below.  The intent of the meeting is to solicit input on the potential impacts to critical equipment that would be affected and determine a time that avoids or minimizes the most negative effects.
