UPDATE – Testing for the Wean Hall Exhaust system is now completed and service has been restored to a steady state.

As an update to the ongoing lab exhaust system project, work is scheduled for Thursday, 3/4, from 6:30AM to 5:00PM.  The exhaust system is not scheduled to be turned off, however capacity will be unstable throughout the day as fans are turned on and off, dampers modulated and fan speeds tested.  Active use of the fume hoods during the day is strongly discouraged.

Members of EH&S and CDFD may be through the labs to test fume hood velocities during this time.

UPDATE – The Wean Hall exhaust system repairs are continuing and will require two (2) additional upcoming system shut downs.  The first of these two shut downs is scheduled for this Friday, 2/19, from 5:00AM to 5:00PM.  During this time, fans will be offline, duct risers in the East and West shafts will be repaired and fan speed controllers will be replaced.

The second of two (2) shut downs is tentatively scheduled for Thursday, 3/4, from 5:00AM to 5:00PM.  This is anticipated to be the final system shut down to modify and test control programming.  Confirmation of this last system shut down will be updated as the date approaches.

UPDATE – Repairs to the Wean Hall exhaust ductwork will continue today, 2/9. Repairs will begin this morning and continue until around 6PM.  The exhaust fans will remain offline during this time.
