SUBJECT: Switching HVAC from Cooling to Heating

FMS has been monitoring the extended weather forecast which shows a trend with daytime highs reaching the high 60s/low 70s and nighttime lows in the 40s.  This unpredictable weather during seasonal transitions can create a challenge when it comes to switching the buildings on Campus from cooling to heating. 

With the increase in cooler temps at night, our HVAC mechanics and steamfitters are starting to prepare the buildings for heating.  They will be working during the month of October to switch all buildings on Campus to heating.  

With temps dropping into the 40s some nights, please remember to close all windows in your spaces before leaving at the end of the day.
