SUBJECT: Scaife Hall – Steel Erection Crane Mobilization 11/15 & 11/16

 

The Frew Street closure for the Scaife Hall project will be extended to the east for Monday, 11/15 and Tuesday, 11/16 to allow for the construction of the steel erection crane. 

 

This closure will return to the existing closure extents on Wednesday, 11/17.   Access to the temporary walkway to the ANSYS courtyard will be closed during this mobilization work.  It will reopen on 11/17.  Access to the Frew Street entrance to Porter Hall, from the east, will remain intact with occasional closures when large items are being lifted in close proximity to that entrance.  Safety personnel from PJ Dick and Century Steel Erection will be in place to direct pedestrians accordingly.  Finally, the pedestrian detour in Flag Staff Hill will be extend to the east around the laydown area with a temporary walkway to a temporary Crosswalk on Frew Street, signage will be adjusted accordingly.
