SUBJECT: Mellon Institute Power Interruption

Power was momentarily lost to part of Mellon Institute at 9:08AM today, 8/18, when a contractor excavating in the area hit one of the two main feeds to the building.  Power was automatically transferred to the other feed and the building has electric service to all circuits at this time. 

Crews are evaluating the extent of the damage.  At this time we have no estimate as to when redundant service to the building will be restored.
