SUBJECT: Duquesne Light Power Issue

Multiple buildings surrounding campus have experienced a power blip or outage this afternoon due to a Duquesne Light power issue affecting the Oakland area.  FMS crews are checking systems in buildings, and we recommend departments remotely review their equipment to confirm normal operation. 

The power issue occurred at approximately 4PM and Duquesne Light is restoring service to all affected buildings. The affected buildings are listed below.

Issues with Duquesne Light power supply can cause breakers to trip, momentary voltage sags, phase imbalances or power spikes that may impact sensitive electrical components.  We recommended confirming that any operating systems are still on-line and normal.
