SUBJECT: CIC Drive Closure Starting 12/17

CIC Drive will be closed this weekend starting on Friday, 12/17 at 6PM through Sunday, 12/18.  The drive will be reopened before 6AM Monday morning (12/19).  This will be the final road closure at the CIC for the HVAC replacement project.  See the attached plan for the extent of the closure.

The closure is required for a crane lift that will install the second HVAC unit on the roof of the CIC building.

Starting Friday evening at 6 PM Forbes Avenue will be briefly closed to back the crane assembly onto CIC drive.  Please do not park on CIC Drive after 5 PM or your vehicle will be blocked in.  Notice signs will be posted as a reminder.  The crane will take approximately 8 hours to set up on Friday night into early Saturday morning.  Lifting will occur starting at 6 AM Saturday morning, and the crane will be disassembled starting Saturday afternoon/evening.  Sunday is used as a contingency plan in case of poor weather conditions.

During the crane lift on Saturday the 3rd and 4th floors of the CIC building will be closed to occupants and tenants.  Floors LL through 2 can still be utilized if necessary.  The CIC parking garage will remain open.  Access to the building during the closure will be through the garage or through the FMS plaza.
