SUBJECT: CFA Summer Construction Update

The College of Fine Arts is undergoing utility construction work in the A-Level of the building, as well as replacement of the South Entrance stairs to A-Level.

On Tuesday, 5/30, the demolition and replacement of the South entrance stairs to A-Level will begin. The demolition portion of this work will be noisy and potentially disruptive to occupants on the south side of the building and adjacent buildings. Work will continue at the South Entrance through July with intermittent periods of noise. 

The South Entrance to Level 1 will remain open through the summer. Temporary interior partitions have been installed and alternate egress routes have been posted within the building to accommodate this closure. Please reference the attached logistics plan.

Also, on Tuesday, 5/30, the CFA Building will be without hot water while work is being performed in the utility tunnel. Hot water service will be restored by Wednesday, 5/31.
