SUBJECT: Hamerschlag Hall – Scaffolding & Façade Repairs

Hamerschlag Hall will be undergoing a restoration project this summer to address needed exterior facade repairs.

As a part of this project, the mall entrance to Hamerschlag Hall will undergo cleaning and repairs which will require temporary scaffolding. On Tuesday, 5/30, the temporary scaffolding will be installed starting at 6AM. The entrance will remain open during the installation; however, traffic control measures will be in place to maintain pedestrian safety. The installation will be complete by 2PM. It is anticipated the scaffolding will be in place for a minimum of 4 weeks while cleaning and repairs are completed.

Beginning on Monday, 6/5, scaffolding will be erected around the tower to complete the repair work. Additionally, temporary exterior stair towers will be erected to provide safe access for the masons from ground level to the tower scaffolding. Scaffolding erection for the tower is anticipated to last 3 to 4 weeks and will remain in place for the duration of the summer.

Additional repairs and cleaning will be performed on other areas of the exterior over the summer as well. Please note that this project will cause intermittent noise for interior spaces, but it is anticipated that disruptions will be minimal. Tradesperson access to the interior of the building is not required to complete repairs. Work hours will be 7AM to 3PM daily.
