SUBJECT: Parking & Transportation Upgrades Affecting Warner Lot, CFA Lot and 4705 Fifth Ave Garage
Parking & Transportation Services is currently in the process of implementing a technology upgrade, which includes the replacement of both our hardware and software systems.
Starting next week, we will initiate the hardware replacement at the following locations: Warner Hall, CFA, and 4705 Fifth Avenue. This will primarily impact the entrances/exits, as concrete is cut for new equipment and new concrete is poured.
WARNER HALL PARKING LOT
Access to the Warner Hall parking lot will not be available for patrons on Tuesday, 10/24. All Warner Hall leaseholders will have access to parking in the Morewood parking lot during this time. Parking in Warner Hall will recommence on Wednesday, 10/25.
CFA PARKING LOT
Access to the CFA parking lot will not be available for parking patrons on Tuesday, 10/24. During this time, you may use your CMU ID for entry and exit at the East Campus Garage. Parking operations at the CFA lot will recommence on Wednesday, 10/25
4705 FIFTH AVE LOWER GARAGE
Access to 4705 Fifth Avenue Lower Garage parking will not be available for patrons from Monday, 10/23, through Thursday, 11/2. . During this time, you may use the Morewood parking lot. Please display your hang tag while parked in the lot. Parking operations at 4705 Fifth Avenue will recommence on Friday, November 3, 2023. There will be noise related to this replacement during the demolition however the significant noise will occur after 9:00 am daily.
The new gates will stay in the upright position until the software is fully installed. Eventually, all leaseholders will be provided with new parking hang tags and instructions on how to utilize the system, which will be mailed to the address we have on file.
