SUBJECT: Freezing Temps – Help Protect Your Spaces – Close Windows
We will continue having freezing temperatures throughout today and into tonight. Please help FMCS protect your spaces by closing and locking ALL windows. Below is a list of windows that were found opened last night:
· Hall of Arts – 3rd floor storage closet by elevator, room 300F
· FMS Building – 3rd floor, room 318
· Porter Hall – 3rd floor men's restroom
· Doherty Hall – Room 3303
· CFA – 2nd floor 200 suite – 8 windows
· Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall – various windows throughout
· Mellon Institute – 7th floor
Many freezing incidents that happen during a drop in temperature are preventable. Thank you for your assistance in keeping these areas safe.
Other actions you can take to help protect your spaces:
1. Check your department’s occupied and unoccupied areas for cold spots. Open doors where possible to allow warm air to circulate.
2. Turn the thermostats ON and check for heat.
If you see any untreated areas or notice anything of concern, please contact the FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910.
