SUBJECT: Freezing Temps – Help Protect Your Spaces – Close Windows

Freezing temperatures will continue dropping over the weekend and into next week.  Please help FMCS protect your spaces by closing and locking ALL windows. 

We ask that particular attention be made in buildings such as CFA, TCS, Mellon, MMCH, Doherty, HOA and Baker/Porter.

Many freezing incidents that happen during a drop in temperature are preventable.  Thank you for your assistance in keeping these areas safe. 

Other actions you can take to help protect your spaces:

1.       Check your department’s occupied and unoccupied areas for cold spots. Open doors where possible to allow warm air to circulate.

2.       Turn the thermostats ON and check for heat.

If you see any untreated areas or notice anything of concern, please contact the FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910.  We will have additional crews on site throughout the weekend and Holiday.
