SUBJECT: 24 Hour Campus Steam Shutdown THIS WEEKEND 10/19 6PM – 10/20 6PM

There will be an emergency 24-hour campus steam shutdown starting at 6PM on Saturday, 10/19, until 6PM on Sunday, 10/20, to address an active steam leak.

Nothing in the Craig Street corridor will be affected during this shutdown including Mellon Institute, the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) and Tata Consulting Services (TCS).  All other buildings connected to the main campus steam line will be affected.  HVAC mechanics will adjust building systems to maintain comfortable temperatures overnight.

Housing heat will be affected by the shutdown however temperatures are expected to be sunny and in the 70s.  Hot water will be available in housing throughout the shutdown.

The only Dining location affected is The Exchange.  All other locations will have domestic hot water.
