SUBJECT: CIC Building Electrical Switchgear Upgrade, January 3-5, 2025
Facilities Management Services (FMS) will conduct the CIC Building Electrical Switchgear Upgrade January 3-5, 2025. The dates and times are below:
January 3rd: 10 am-8 pm
January 4th: 6 am-6 pm
January 5th: 6 am-6 pm
All contractors and DCLO have been confirmed. Please note that this project requires three consecutive days of 12-hour power outages. Emergency generators will be running if you have equipment on emergency power. Power would be restored at the end of each workday. If there is a DLC issue during the three days, restoring power will require FMS Electrician.

UPDATE – We apologize for any confusion with this announcement. All occupants of the CIC building will be affected. SUBJECT: CIC Switchgear Upgrade Town Hall
Facilities Management Services (FMS) is planning to hold a meeting the week of November 11 to discuss the CIC switchgear upgrade. This project will impact the occupants of the CIC and SEI buildings. This will be the first of several meetings to determine possible dates and address any building-related concerns. The meeting will include FMS operations staff and engineering staff.
If you would like to attend this meeting, please email Kacey Byrne-Houser at kbyrneho@andrew.cmu.edu by 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 7. The meeting will be scheduled based on respondents' availability. Thank you for your cooperation and participation.
