FROM:  Service Response Center

SUBJECT:  4705 Fifth Avenue Underground Water Valve Replacement 1/2/25

The underground main water valve that supplies 4705 Fifth Avenue is scheduled to occur on 1/2/25. This work is required to replace the leaking main valve as well as the service tap into the PWSA main.

This will impact the Domestic water and Fire Suppression water in the below buildings for an approximate 24-hour period.

Fifth and Clyde Residence- Domestic water and Fire Suppression

4721-Fifth Communications and Marketing- Domestic water and Fire Suppression

4705 Fifth Apartments-Domestic water and Fire Suppression

4700-5th Residence on Fifth – Fire Suppression only

Water is expected to be shut off approx. 2:00 pm on 1/2/25 and back on by approx. 2:00 pm on 1/3/25 for an overall 24-hour period. A fire watch will be in place in the impacted buildings during the interruption.

Roadway excavation of the work area will begin earlier in the morning on 1/2/25 in preparation for the water line work. PWSA will also be replacing a main valve at the intersection of Fifth and Clyde St during this period as well.

Fifth Ave will have a two-lane traffic restriction from 1/2/25 through 1/5/25 for the excavation, water line work, backfill and roadway repairs, however the water supply interruption should only occur on 1/2/25 for an approximate 24-hour period.
