SUBJECT: Mellon Institute Domestic Water Shutdown 5/14 7:30AM – 9:30AM
There will be a domestic water shutdown at Mellon Institute on 5/14 from 7:30AM – 9:30AM while PWSA is installing a valve on the 12″ water main on Bellefield Avenue. Water will not be available for the duration of the shutdown. The bathrooms will be closed as well.
SEI will not be receiving chilled water from Mellon Institute during this time. The remote chillers at SEI will be put online prior to the outage and run during this time.

May 9, 2025UPDATE – There will be no fire suppression during this shutdown, but the fire alarm will still be operational. EH&S is involved and will be issuing an impairment permit. There will also be revolving fire watches during the outage.
