SUBJECT: Landscape Changes on the Mall in July

Due to declining health and structural integrity, the nine sycamore and London plane trees next to Baker Hall are reaching the end of their natural life. Between July 6-26, they will be removed for public safety and as the first step in revitalizing the Mall area. Each day that it is safe to conduct removal activities, work will occur between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., and community members should anticipate noise and nearby walkway closures during the removal process. We are also working with the colleges in Baker Hall and Porter Hall to increase project awareness for building occupants. Learn more about the changes and Mall revitalization plans.
