SUBJECT: SEI Planned Chilled Water System Outage 10/17
There will be a planned outage of the chilled water system serving the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) on Saturday, October 17, from 6AM to 2PM.
During this time, the primary chilled water supply from Mellon Institute will be shut down. SEI's secondary (backup) chiller will remain operational; however, cooling capacity will be limited to the following areas:
- A Level
- CRAC units serving Rooms A100, A200, and A203
All other areas of the building will be without comfort cooling for the duration of the outage. Data closets will also be without cooling during this period.
Building occupants are encouraged to plan accordingly and take any necessary precautions to minimize the impact of this temporary loss of cooling.
