SUBJECT: Scaife Hall Localized Electrical Shutdowns 6/24 – 6/28
There will be localized electrical power outages throughout Scaife Hall starting Monday, June 24th through Friday June 28th to support a research project studying building energy use. On each day, power will go off in the identified areas at 6:00 PM and may be off until as late as 2:00 AM the next morning although in most cases we expect power to be restored by 10:00 PM.
Monday 6/24/13 – Areas served by Basement electrical panels BA and BB.
Tuesday 6/25/13 – Areas served by 1st Floor electrical panels D and D1.
Wednesday 6/26/13 – Areas served the 2nd Floor hallway electrical panel and toilet and laboratory exhaust for the building.
Thursday 6/27/13 – Areas served by the 3rd Floor electrical panel.
Friday 6/28/13 – Areas served by the 4th Floor electrical panels.
In general, these electrical panels serve loads on their respective floors. However, service to some areas may have been changed over time so that this is not universally true. You may want to check with FMS to verify the power source for equipment that is particularly sensitive to power interruptions. We are working with Computing Services to provide temporary power to networking equipment which potentially be affected by the Monday evening work.
