SUBJECT: Hamburg and Smith Hall Power Shutdown Discussion Meeting 1/26
There will be a planned shutdown of electric service to Hamburg Hall and Smith Hall on Wednesday morning January 31st from 3:00 AM to 7:00 AM. This shutdown is needed to examine and potentially fix a problem with the high voltage switchgear serving these two buildings. This problem currently prevents us from switching the buildings between feeders if power is lost. Loads served by the emergency generator for the building will have power except for the brief period when those circuits switch to and from emergency power. This shutdown is weather dependent and will be postponed if temperatures are judged to be too cold to prevent systems from freezing.
If you have any questions or concerns, please call the Service Response Center at 8-2910.
