UPDATE – The 3 hour power shutdown scheduled from 1:00AM – 4:00AM this Sunday, 3/4, will remain the same.  The 12 hour shutdown will now occur on Friday, 3/9, starting at 6:00PM and will last through Saturday, 3/10, at 6:00AM.

SUBJECT: 3 Hour Power Shutdown 3/4 1AM-4AM

There will be a 3 hour multiple building power shutdown on Sunday, 3/4, from 1:00AM – 4:00AM and will affect the following buildings:

–          Warner Hall

–          Cyert Hall

–          Baker Hall

–          Porter Hall

This shutdown is necessary in order to repair one of the high voltage cables serving Porter Hall that experienced a critical failure in a manhole on the Mall earlier last month. 

This will be the first of two shutdowns necessary to repair and restore normal service to the buildings listed above.  The second power outage is currently scheduled to occur on Saturday, 3/10, starting at 9:00PM and will last through Sunday, 3/11, at 10:00AM.  More details regarding this second shutdown will be sent following the initial shutdown.
