SUBJECT: Reduce Electric Power Demand Today 6/18

Due to the expected high temperatures, we are asking you to help shed our power load today, 6/18, from 2:00PM – 5:00PM. 

During this time, FMS personnel will be turning off air conditioning systems in unoccupied spaces and will allow temperatures to vary more widely than usual in non-critical occupied spaces.  We ask for your cooperation in this effort by doing the following:

þ  Turn off lights that are not necessary

þ  Turn off all non-essential electrical equipment

þ  Turn equipment off when you leave for the day (examples – window air conditioners, computers, printers, copiers)

þ  Notify FMS if you have non-registrar and large spaces that will be unoccupied during this timeframe
