SUBJECT: Fall 2013 Transition to Heating System
With the approach of cooler temperatures, FMS personnel have started activating building heating systems. Our plan is to insure that all heating systems are fully functional by October 18th. We are also checking for proper operation of these systems in student housing buildings. Major steam line repairs are underway on Margaret Morrison Street near Donner which affects the heating systems in hill dormitories. By October 18th those buildings should have repairs completed.
Due to design, once Warner Hall’s heating system is activated the air conditioning cannot be turned back on. FMS will check the extended forecast before making that transition.
