SUBJECT:  Electrical Glitch- 7/24/19

At approximately 6:25AM, the Duquesne Light Company experienced a fault on the redundant electrical service to main campus resulting is a brief power blip.  Equipment like computers may have turned off and restarted.  The power company is investigating the issue and we are expecting an update on the issue soon.  When the redundant electrical service is restored, there should be no disruptions to main campus buildings except for CIC building which will experience a momentary interruption.  While the redundant electrical service is unavailable, FMS Electricians will monitor the campus high voltage network.  Without the redundant service, any further Duquesne Light issues could require actions to reduce electrical demand.
