UPDATE – Power has been restored to all buildings and air conditioning systems have been restarted.

UPDATE – Based on the feedback received, the power shutdown has been scheduled for Saturday, 7/27, from 1:00PM – 9:00PM.  

This shutdown is a part of the Hall of the Arts (GSIA) and Posner Center renovations project.  The affected locations are: 

·         College of Fine Arts

·         Donner

·         Hall of the Arts (GSIA)

·         Hill Dorms

·         Hunt Library

·         Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall

·         Posner Hall

·         Posner Center

·         Skibo Gym

Building systems not served by the emergency generator or battery backup will be affected during this outage.

UPDATE – Due to a conflict on 7/20, the power shutdown has been tentatively rescheduled for Saturday, 7/27, between the hours of 12:00PM and 6:00PM.  This shutdown is expected to last anywhere between 3-5 hours. 

Please send an email to fixit@andrew.cmu.edu if there are any concerns with this power shutdown happening on 7/27 and if there are any specific times that will not work for your area.  All responses must be received by Tuesday, 7/16. 

UPDATE – Due to a conflict on 7/13, the power shutdown has been tentatively rescheduled for the morning hours of Saturday, 7/20.  This shutdown is expected to last 3-5 hours.

SUBJECT:  Power Shutdown Discussion Meeting 6/28 at 11AM

There will be a meeting on Friday, 6/28, at 11:00AM in the Cohon University Center – Connan Room to discuss an upcoming power shutdown that is a part of the Hall of the Arts (GSIA) and Posner Center renovations project.  The locations that will be affected by this shutdown are: 

·         College of Fine Arts

·         Hall of the Arts (GSIA)

·         Housing along Margaret Morrison Street

·         Hunt Library

·         Margaret Morrison Carnegie Hall

·         Posner Center

·         Skibo Gym

The intent of the meeting is to solicit input on the potential impacts to critical equipment that would be affected and determine a date/time that avoids or minimizes the most negative effects.
