SUBJECT: Second Major Power Shutdown 1/2 and Detail Meeting 12/17
Facilities Management Services, Campus Design and Facilities Development have planned a second major power shutdown and transfer to repair the Scott Hall damage to the 4160V power distribution. A five hour power shutdown is needed for Hamerschlag Hall, Roberts Hall, and Scaife Hall from 6:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
Hamburg Hall, Smith Hall, Newell Simon, and Facilities Management Services Building is to have an interruption of power for approximately 15 minutes each from 6:00 AM- 7:00 AM.
Doherty Hall, Purnell Center, and Gates Hillman Center to have an interruption of power for approximately 15 minutes each from 11:00 AM – noon.
The power shutdown is planned for Thursday, January 2, rain date would be January 5. Heating and chilled water systems will start shutting down at 5:00 AM. The remaining campus buildings’ chilled water will operate as normal.
Please plan on attending a campus meeting for the details of this outage held in the Carnegie Conference Room East, Warner Hall, 10:30 AM, Tuesday, December 17.
