UPDATE – A follow-up test of the Posner Hall smoke purge system will take place tomorrow, 10/1, between 6:00AM and 8:00AM.  This test will involve activation of the fire alarm system so that all fire doors drop to the correct position.  Smoke will also be set off to verify that it gets exhausted from the atrium.  The “smoke” is similar to what is used when testing smoke detectors and is non-toxic.

During this time, the alarm speakers and strobes may be activated, however, you will not be required to evacuate the building.  Occupants are cautioned to respond to sounding fire alarms at all other times by immediately evacuating the building.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding this test, please contact CDFD Project Manager, Joe Yimin, at 412-268-3334.
