SUBJECT: PWSA Water Shutdown 12/10 8AM-4PM

As part of the Forbes Beeler project, two waterlines from the Forbes Beeler site are scheduled to be terminated.  In conjunction with this work, PWSA will be replacing two valves, one at the end of Devon Road and one further along Forbes Avenue on the 16″ water main.

There will be a water shutdown on Thursday, 12/10, from 8:30AM – 4PM as both CMU’s contractors and PWSA work on the 16″ water main that runs along Forbes Avenue.   The sidewalk and bike lane along the north side of Forbes will be closed, along with Devon Road at the Forbes intersection.   Steel plates will cover the work area on roads and sidewalks.  The attached drawing indicates what areas will be affected.

The sidewalk and bike lane along the north side of Forbes will also be closed on Friday, 12/11, from 8AM – 4PM in order for the sidewalk to be repaired.

For questions or concerns regarding this shutdown, please contact CDFD Project Manager, Janice Held,  at jheld@cmu.edu or 412, 527 5627.
