SUBJECT: Doherty Hall Generator Shutdown 12/28/2020

Campus Design & Facility Development (CDFD) is working with Facilities Management & Campus Services(FMCS) on the Wean Hall Exhaust Upgrades Project this Fall- Winter 2020. The project scope includes replacing the laboratory exhaust fans at Wean Hall with a new system.

As discussed at the 12/15/2020 Campus Coordination Meeting, the project will be scheduling an 8 hour shutdown of the Doherty Hall generator in order to tie in the emergency power for the exhaust fans in the building.  This shutdown will impact emergency power only, specifically in the west side of Doherty Hall.  Emergency lighting and the elevators 360/361 will be impacted in the event that normal power goes down. It is recommended that the building remain unoccupied on Monday , Dec 28, 2020 from 7:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.  Signage will be posted within the building corridors, the elevator and elevator vestibules.
