The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a Flash Flood Watch from late Tuesday night through late Wednesday night.  Heavy rainfall associated with the remnants of Hurricane Ida will result in an increased risk of flash flooding.  FMCS is taking action in advance of the storm and would like to request cooperation from departments with flood prone space to prepare.  Items that could be damaged from storm sewer backups should be relocated from flood zones or otherwise protected before Tuesday night.  Please contact FMCS Service Response Center (X8-2910) with any questions or to coordinate assistance for your department’s advance preparations.
