SUBJECT: Mellon Institute Water and Gas Shutdowns 5/5 and 5/6
The following 4 shut downs are scheduled for Mellon Institute this week:
- A whole building domestic hot water shut down is scheduled for Thursday, 5/5, from 8AM-Noon. This shut down will impact hot water service to the entire building. The outage is required to install new valves for a lab renovation project.
- A domestic cold water shut down is also scheduled for Thursday, 5/5, from 10AM-2PM. Two separate risers will be shut off in order to install new valves for a lab renovation project. The outage will impact the 2nd – 9th floor quadrant from the area of the freight elevator to the passenger elevators and the quadrant from rooms 600-647. This shut down does not impact the restrooms.
- A lab gas shut down is scheduled for Friday, 5/6, from 8AM-Noon. This shut down will impact the VAC (lab vacuum), Gas, DI Water (deionized) and CA (lab air) services from the 2nd-9th floors in the quadrant from rooms 600-647. The outage is to isolate and install new valves for a lab renovation project.
- Another lab gas shut down is scheduled for Friday, 5/6, from 10AM-2PM. This shut down will impact the VAC (lab vacuum), Gas, DI Water (deionized) and CA (lab air) services from the 2nd – 9th floor quadrant from the area of the freight elevator to the passenger elevators. The outage is to isolate and install new valves for a lab renovation project.
