UPDATE – An initial assessment has been completed of areas impacted by the fire sprinkler line failures in HOA/Posner.  Please see attached floor maps for affected areas.  Some offices only received a minimal amount of water under the door, others (Posner level 3) had several inches of standing water.  All standing water has been removed and the areas are drying out.  Some drywall damage along baseboards and carpet replacement will be required.  Please be patient with us as we work through these repairs and respond to multiple locations across campus.

SUBJECT: Water Events Affecting Posner Hall and HOA

Due to the freezing temps, the fire sprinkler system has failed near Posner Hall room 340 (The Great Room) causing water damage to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors.

Additionally, there was a fire sprinkler system failure in the Hall of Arts near registrar classroom 160.  This affected some offices in the adjacent music corridor.

FMS, along with our restoration company, are onsite assessing the affected areas.

Updates will be sent as more information is available.
