SUBJECT: Power Blip Affected Multiple Buildings- 4/1/23

Multiple buildings surrounding campus have experienced a power blip this afternoon due to high winds affecting the Duquesne Light power utility.  FMS crews are checking systems in buildings and we recommend departments remotely review their equipment to confirm normal operation.

The momentary power issue occurred at approximately 1:30PM and normal power was quickly restored to affected buildings. The affected buildings are listed below.

Issues with Duquesne Light power supply can cause breakers to trip, momentary voltage sags, phase imbalances or power spikes that may impact sensitive electrical components.  We recommended confirming that any operating systems are still on-line and normal.
