UPDATE – Temporary air conditioning will be supplied for the affected portion of Baker Hall. While connecting the temporary unit, a portion of the building will have no air conditioning. The Giant Eagle Auditorium of Baker Hall will be affected. This includes the A5x rooms, 154 suite, 254 suite, and 354 suite. Air conditioning will be turned off Wednesday, 6/21, at 6AM until 12PM (noon).

SUBJECT: Baker Hall Piping Replacement Starting 6/21
Baker Hall will have piping replaced this summer. The concrete drive connecting Baker to Frew St will be partially removed and replaced to perform this work. This will affect egress from the building during construction. The first floor exit to Frew Street across from room 143 will be blocked for the duration of this work. The exits 180A and 186A shown on the attachment should be used for emergencies. A level occupants should exit through A50C. In addition, the patio area will not be accessible.
There will be demolition and construction noise related to the project beginning 6/21, continuing throughout the duration of the project. The temporary chiller may also be a source of noise in this area. The project is scheduled for completion by mid-September.
