SUBJECT: Power Blip Affecting Multiple Buildings

Multiple buildings on campus have experienced a power blip this afternoon affecting the Duquesne Light power utility.  FMS crews are checking systems in buildings, and we recommend departments review their equipment to confirm normal operation.

Issues with Duquesne Light power supply can cause breakers to trip, momentary voltage sags, phase imbalances or power spikes that may impact sensitive electrical components.  We recommended confirming that any operating systems are still on-line and normal.

FMS staff are available for on-campus support to visually verify anything that can’t be reviewed remotely.  Please contact our FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910 for assistance.
