SUBJECT: Tree Removals and Replacements in Gates Hillman Area 11/9

On Saturday, 11/9, four evergreen trees, consisting of white pines & Norway spruces along with a columnar maple tree, will be removed due to deteriorating health and severe decay.  These trees currently pose a risk to our campus community.  Two columnar white pines, three Norway spruces, & one maple tree will be planted as replacements.   

CMU works to keep our landscape thriving and safe. CMU is designated as a Tree Campus Higher Education school by the Arbor Day Foundation, recertified annually since 2014.  Oversight of tree maintenance, inspections, and overall health is an integral part of this program & success.
