SUBJECT: Winter Break Kicks off with Freezing Temperatures

Freezing temperatures will kick off the winter break as the weather is expected to drop as low as 12 degrees over the weekend.  As departments plan to make departure preparations for winter break, please take precaution and ensure you are protecting your spaces by closing and locking all windows.

We ask that particular attention be made to open windows in buildings such as CFA, TCS, Gates, Mellon Institute, MMCH, Doherty, HOA and Baker/Porter.

Additional preparations as you begin to prepare for winter break include shutting down any equipment if feasible, covering any high value equipment, unplugging small appliances, and checking for any minor leaks in kitchen areas, drinking fountains or restrooms.

FMS crews will be on site throughout the weekend making rounds to check spaces.  If you see or notice anything of concern, please contact the FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910.  Thanks for your partnership.
