SUBJECT: Duquesne Light Power Blips Affecting Multiple Buildings

The Duquesne Light electrical utility experienced a brief power outage this morning at 4 AM that affected multiple CMU buildings.  Power was quickly restored.  The buildings listed below may have experienced a power interruption or power irregularity.  FMS crews are checking systems in buildings, and we recommend departments review their equipment to confirm normal operation.

1.    1004 Devonshire Road

2.    1011 Devonshire Rd

3.    1016 Devonshire Road

4.    1019 Devonshire Road

5.    1021 Devonshire Road

6.    1026 Devonshire Road

7.    1033 Devonshire Road

8.    4705 Fifth Ave

9.    4721 Fifth Avenue

10.  624 Clyde Street

11.  Highlands Apts at 618 Clyde Street

12.  Neville Apts (Leased)

13.  Software Engineering Institute

Issues with Duquesne Light power supply can cause breakers to trip, momentary voltage sags, phase imbalances or power spikes that may impact sensitive electrical components.  We recommended confirming that any operating systems are still on-line and normal.

FMS staff are available for on-campus support to visually verify anything that can’t be reviewed remotely.  Please contact our FMCS Service Response Center at 412-268-2910 for assistance.
