UPDATE-Facilities Management & Services is currently addressing a domestic water shutdown affecting Baker and Porter Halls. This shutdown is necessary to replace a broken valve.

During this time, water service will be unavailable and restrooms in both buildings will be closed. We anticipate completing the repair and restoring water service later this evening.

Updates will be sent as more information is available.

Please contact Ralph Hilbert, FMS Supervisor, for any questions or concerns regarding this water event at rh0t@andrew.cmu.edu.

SUBJECT: The Mall Underground Water Line Work 7/16-7/25

Underground water line work at the Mall will be performed from 7/16 through 7/25, depending on weather.
This is in conjunction with the Baker Hall water line work to separate the broken water line from the Mall side and replace a main valve.
We are currently not anticipating water outages for any buildings; however, this is subject to change based on our initial excavations and the closure capacity of the isolation valves that supply this section of piping.

Please contact Ron Cunningham, FMCS Principal Project Manager at rcunning@andrew.cmu.edu or 412.508.9575 for questions or concerns regarding this work.
